The ELTC was established on the 5^th of June 1991 based on the approval of The Supreme Council of Universities as an independent unit responsible mainly for teaching English language inside and outside Mansoura University.

Aims

1. Preparing, supervising and evaluating English language programs for the undergraduate and graduate students at Mansoura University.
2. Preparing special programs for developing the English language proficiency for staff members of Mansoura University and for the community as well.
3. Preparing English programs for mission-students to foreign universities.
4. Offering academic writing courses for reports, theses and researches.
5. Organizing conferences on English language.
6. English editing services for academic researchers in English.
7. Coordinating with other independent units of the universities specialized in the same field to promote high levels of performance and applying the latest methods of teaching English.
8. Offering translation services for the university and the community.
