General English (8 Levels):
The General English Courses aim at developing the language skills used in the different aspects of the daily life. They introduce the student to an interesting program starting with the primary levels of language learning and moving upward to more advanced levels focusing on the basic skills of language acquisition, listening, reading, speaking and writing.
English Conversation (3 Levels):
The Conversation Courses are considered one of the remarkable educational services offered by the ELTC as they focus on speaking and listening skills through life-like learning situations and a syllabus which develops language usage in the different aspects of life.
TOEFL Preparation Course:
The students receive an extensive training on the various linguistic points tested by TOEFL including the basic skills in the three major sections: listening, structure and reading comprehension. The course offers the latest strategies for answering the exam as well as time management techniques and taking into consideration the individual differences of students.
Translation Courses:
The translation courses are considered a distinguished contribution by ELTC to the development of English Department graduates' efficiency in translation from English into Arabic and vice versa.
The courses adopt the technique of practical training on translation through providing the students with various study materials, offering guidelines for proper translation and monitoring students' performance. At the end of the courses, the student becomes a professionally qualified translator.
A Course in English Phonetics:
This course targets the graduates of English Department and aims at raising their level of knowledge regarding the accurate English pronunciation and the differences in English accents. It also helps develop the students' fluency in English.
Specialized Courses:
These courses aim at developing the ability of students to use English for specific purposes; for example in teaching science and Maths. The ELTC also offers courses in English for Law, Public Relations, Secretariat Work and Sales. The students receive an intensive training on using the language to serve their own purposes.
Courses for Over-Seas Students:
These courses are tailored to serve the undergraduate and post graduate over-seas students at Mansoura University. These courses focus on developing the language ability of these students to be able to cope up with the requirements of their academic and social needs.
English for Tourism:
This is a tailored course targeting those who are involved in tourism business. The main aim of the course is to develop the English language proficiency of the course participants and to help them acquire the necessary language fluency and accuracy that promotes their career development.
English for Engineering:
This course serves as a bridge for the gap between the Engineering terms and the daily usage of English. It helps in establishing a communicative work environment for engineers aspiring to enhance their professional life globally.
English for Nursing:
This course aims at improving the basic English language skills necessary in the promotion of the nursing profession. It enhances the nurses' abilities to communicate with others in their daily work.
English for Human Resources:
This course is developed to meet the increasing demand of bilingual H.R. Professionals worldwide, and in turn the course helps in developing the English language skills necessary for highly qualified human resources professionals. The course covers the four basic skills of the language and provides the participants with life-like situations in order to acquire the necessary linguistic abilities for communication.
